The Society is a lay Catholic organisation that aspires to live the Gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice, hope and joy and by working to shape a more just and compassionate society. The Society is the largest charity in Australia. Over the years, the Society has developed both its charity arm and its social justice arm. It is a powerful force for good in our nation.
The St Christopher’s Conference actively continues the work of the Society through home visitations to provide welfare support, by delivery of donated bread to needy families each Sunday.
A committee of 13 members manages the Conference. The committee meets monthly.
